At Aviva, we’re transforming our Property Claims operating model, building the best property team in the market. Now, you can come and develop your career in a dynamic, digital and caring culture. We value professional skills in property and insurance, underpinned with emotion towards all of our customers. Ultimately, it’s about making a positive impact in the property and insurance areas, while providing customers and communities with an experience they’ll remember. Now, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Large Loss Consultant to deliver early economic resolutions for our customers.
About the role
As part of our transformation, we’re building and recruiting technical capabilities that enable more complex claims - that used to be handled by Adjusters - to be brought in-house. As part of this, we’re merging our new Claims Field team with our Large Loss Consultants, creating one team during 2018 to service our customers’ rights across the UK. In fact, we’re fully focused on our growth and ambition to accelerate our strategy by driving harder on Customer, Simplicity and Innovation. It’s this pace and commitment that sets us apart.
This is your chance to work in the complex, constantly evolving and increasingly competitive world of large loss for one of the most respected names in the business. You’ll proactively manage costs on allocated claims by conducting investigations and negotiations with our customers. This includes conducting timely and appropriate visits to the customer’s property at key stages. We’ll also expect you to be constantly looking for opportunities to improve the system and make the most of our service.
The role will see you adjusting large property losses managed by the Technical Claims Services (TCS) and in-house property field team, acting as a technical focal point to colleagues in both teams. Skilled in collaborative working with strong personal impact and influence, you’ll also support the technical training of our workforce.
Ready to embrace new ways of working, you’ll be qualified to a minimum of Cert CILA (or other relevant insurance qualifications) with a sound understanding of the UK insurance claims market. Known for your resilience, you’ll bring a deep knowledge of technical and legal principles and procedures together with a proven track record of cases of high value or complexity. Ultimately it’s about being an expert in all classes of property claims.
With excellent rewards including a bonus, there’s every reason to join our team and take your career further.
