This is a brand new opportunity for a data expert to take ownership of our Labour and HR data produced by our Restaurants finance team - and to become a key player supporting our Finance Function to understand the insight and make strong decisions
What will you be doing?
As a data and insight expert, this specialist role will allow you to really get to grips with the terabytes of information we generate in Whitbread Restaurants - pulling key themes and valuable insight on our Labour and HR costs.
Driving greater sophistication and improved automation in our reporting, our finance team will look to you to tell the story of our activity and support our cost-saving plans. Never shying away from innovating how we do things - you'll be our guru for creating insightful and valuable rationale out of millions of rows of data.
Becoming the data lynch-pin of our finance team for Whitbreads' restaurants will need you to be a strong team player - and a master of relationships, as well as a master data user. Being able to build effective ways of working that allow you to empower your stakeholders and enable them to better control and manage labour performance efficiently and effectively. To ensure the success of this, we will also need you to develop our Power BI tool to provide better MI to all your stakeholders.
As an agent of change, our Labour Data Reporting Manager will drive change in our systems to improve reliability and usability, supporting the integration of data systems and their interactivity. Reviewing our reporting hierarchies looking to continuously improve the management of data impacting our exec level reporting. Building robust relationships with our our IS teams, you'll have the opportunity to impact and shape related IS projects.
Why we would like you to apply
- A strong, creative problem solver and practical thinker, no challenge is too big for you
- You have experience of setting up new and automated reporting capability
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills you have had experience of working with high volumes of data and ideally generating insight that has driven cost-saving
- Experience with SQL, BI Toolkits or equivalents alongside advanced Excel is a must
- Managing numerous stakeholders doesn’t faze you
- A data analysis specialist, your eye for detail is second to none
