This is an excellent opportunity for a BSc/MSc life sciences graduate with post-degree laboratory experience OR a PhD educated life scientist looking to move into scientific laboratory field sales with a reputable privately owned manufacturer of life science consumables! The position is predominately account management focused, but does also involve new business development.

This role involves 80% travel to different customer sites and around 20% of your time working from home.
Full product and sales training is provided but drive and motivation to succeed in this role is essential. A basic understanding of the sales process is desirable.
TERRITORY: Northern England (M62 corridor)
PRODUCTS: Life Science consumables (including cell culture, molecular biology, liquid handling consumables)
CUSTOMERS: Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Academic and Research laboratories.
Manage and develop commercial relationships with current customers as well as identifying new business opportunities.
Increase revenue and margin growth of the territory and continuously review business strategy and forecasting for the region.
Develop long-term relationships with customers at all levels of responsibility and seniority.
Manage customer projects, working to timelines and client expectations/objectives.
Liaise customer feedback internally with other commercial staff, including Product Mangers and other Account Managers when required.
Ensure client communication is recorded in the company's CRM database.
Communicate progress of the sales region with Sales Manager via written reports and presentations.
Ensure continuous excellent market knowledge, industry trends and competitor activity.
Life Science degree, Masters or PhD educated preferred.
If the candidate has no previous scientific sales experience then at least 12 months post degree experience in a life science research laboratory is essential.
Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and organised.
