We're seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to play a key role in supporting our Group Technology division on an international scale. This 12-month fixed-term opportunity is your chance to make a significant impact, driving professional growth and innovation across our global teams. The Opportunity

As the Learning and Development Specialist within our Global Operations and Technology People team, your role will support the People Change and Development Lead, Senior business partners, and Global Technology teams to understand key learning requirements at a strategic and operational level. 

You will engage and manage suppliers to create relevant development offerings, oversee the effective delivery of learning interventions, actively monitor and measure benefits, and establish a continuous learning culture across the function. This is a hybrid role and we will ask you to come in to the office 1 or 2 days a week in London or Leeds for the moments that matter.

Your New Role

  • Lead specific elements of the Group Operations and Technology strategy to develop a capability needs strategy and plan.

  • Own and drive the planning and delivery of all learning and development initiatives for the function

  • Work with the Capability Lead and multiple senior stakeholders to develop a learning programme project plan

  • Support the development of effective career paths

  • Drive the mapping of learning solutions to career frameworks and roles

  • Contribute to driving the learning engagement plan and initiatives

  • Collaborate with champions and subject matter experts to design, test and execute learning initiatives in support of behavioural and culture change

  • Challenge, educate and influence stakeholder perspectives on learning value add and the drivers for behavioural change

  • Plan, coordinate and schedule learning events per plans

  • Report on delivery against learning plans, metrics and customer satisfaction

  • Provide operational support for the development of the strategic learning initiatives

  • Establish and maintain excellent collaborative working relationship within the learning teams, functional teams and external vendors

  • Respond to learner queries and issues in a timely manner

About You

  • Experience of working within an HR L&D function or Management Consultancy, ideally with exposure to technology departments.

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing diverse and challenging stakeholders in a global matrixed environment to deliver behavioural and culture change.

  • Experienced in administrative support role in global and complex organisation

  • Preferred knowledge of the insurance industry and/or working with a technology function.

  • Strong experience of developing career and learning frameworks, models and their use in underpinning business strategies

  • Proactive in keeping pace with latest thinking and best practices.

  • Experienced in Cornerstone OnDemand and/or Workday would be advantageous
