Due to recent changes, our Human Resources function in Peterborough is looking to recruit for an L&D Programme Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Head of HR Shared Services, this is an extremely varied and challenging role. Your busy day will be spent planning and implementing a programme of mandatory and compliance training courses to be delivered across the UK to current and new staff. With an average of 170 events a month to facilitate you will carefully manage the diaries of 10 trainers to ensure maximum efficiency, and you will line manage your assistant to ensure that venues are booked, and events set up in our training database. Your work will feed into a team of 3 administrators who will produce and update registers, and maintain the training records of over 8000 staff!
We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager, who is a quick thinker with an eye for detail, you will be solution focused and ready to think outside the box to meet the needs of your stakeholders, who include service managers and area operations managers. Dealing with requests for additional training or amendments to the existing programme will form part of the daily routine.
Keeping calm under pressure you will quickly resolve issues that arise during the day. Problems could range from simple requests for additional refreshments, to a trainer going to the wrong venue or being stuck in a traffic jam miles away from where they need to be!
Managing the processes and procedures of the L&D support function, including the use of 2 E-learning platforms, you will be responsible for ensuring that the service is delivered efficiently and effectively. Each day you will monitor and record the key tasks that the team undertake and ensure that they are delivered within KPI.
You will be involved in varying projects as the function continuously changes and grows. Supporting the Head of Learning & Development, and Senior Managers, you will use your excellent IT skills to maintain management information and project planning in some exciting key areas including our forthcoming LMS (Learning Management System).
With never a dull day, this important role will see you make a major contribution to the lives of the people we support by designing and delivering a training programme that equips our staff with all the skills that they need to deliver exceptional service.
