Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 pa depending on qualifications with a £4,000 Personal Development Budget

A unique opportunity for a recently qualified Information Management or Business Studies Graduate to work on a joint project under Knowledge Transfer Partnership, between Bluefruit and the University of Plymouth. The key objective of this role is to analyse and interpret standards and translate these into a self-assessment model that manages compliance for software development.

You will have a good first degree with a minimum 2.1 (Hons) in a relevant subject such as Computing, Information Management, Business Studies or Law. A Masters level qualification in a complementary subject such as Computer Science or Information Management or similar would be advantageous.

You will have a strong command of English language with the ability to accurately interpret complex standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand complex technical information and convey this into easily understood instructions is essential to the post. You will have a competency in business systems modelling and understanding of quality assurance techniques. Your personal qualities will include a passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change and excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach. You will have the ability to contribute to a team effort whilst being a self-starter, highly motivated, and willing to take the project lead. You will need a logical approach to problem solving and a methodical, investigative and inquisitive mind comfortable working in an agile environment. You will be tenacious with a drive to succeed.

Embedded software is an integral component of all electronic devices worldwide, bringing functionality, usability and reliability to everything from medical instruments and laboratory equipment to helicopters and cars. With a team of over 30 multi-skilled and talented development and test engineers, Bluefruit have excelled in developing bespoke embedded software for a range of prestigious blue chip organisations across multiple industries - including the automotive, audio and aerospace sectors - whilst maintaining a customer-focused approach integral to successful project delivery.

We are at the heart of Plymouth and play a key role in the civic, cultural, social and economic life of our vibrant waterfront city. You will be working with the support of a team of Academics including Dr Ismini Vasileiou, Lecturer in Information Systems and Prof Andy Phippen, Professor of Social Responsibility in IT.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 24 months. This post will be based in Redruth, Cornwall.

Closing Date: 12 Midnight on Wednesday 21st February 2018.

Interviews are expected to take place at the company during week commencing 5th March 2018.
