About the KS2 Teaching Assistant Role
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant your role will involve you moving throughout the KS2 phase, adding much needed support on an ad hoc basis. Your duties will include taking on board the advice of a talented Class Teacher who will be helping you develop the fundamental skills that all teachers need. You will be turning your non-academic talents to school life by joining in with one of the school's many sporting and artistic extra-curricular clubs and societies. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant you will quickly learn that the Head truly values your support, and will guide you throughout the placement in return. It will fall to you to help the teacher directly by helping to plan and prepare specific lessons - this will also give you a superb grounding in this skill. Part of your role will include learning and developing under a committed head of department, who is keen to see staff and pupils excel.
