KS2 Teacher Person Specification

This post requires an inventive KS2 Teacher who has received a 'Good' or better grading from observations and some previous experience in an inner city school. The successful candidate will have the attitude that the classroom should be a positive place of learning and the ability to find their feet with the minimum of disruption to the school. The successful candidate will have a good grasp of creative outlooks that may interest their students and strong skills in differentiation. We want to see teachers with the drive to motivate their pupils to perform at their peak and cultivate an ambitious learning space.

About the KS2 Teacher Role

As a KS2 Teacher your role will involve you joining one of the school's KS2 classes as a general class teacher and you will be teaching with the latest equipment and facilities including outdoor learning areas. Applicants who feel they can offer more than simply the job description could take on the role of Intervention as well. Teaching Assistants who, themselves, are preparing for teacher training are on hand for all members of staff. Though exam results play a role in school assessment, they are particular proud of their creative and innovating teaching style - an ethos you will be encouraged to follow. Seeking to nurture and develop their teaching team, the SLT believe in offering ample opportunities for CPD and a comprehensive training scheme. You will have the responsibility of working with various teaching resources, including visual sensory rooms for SEN, which will help you gain insight into the best way to plan effective lessons . The additional responsibilities of Phase Leader or subject co-ordinator are available as part of this role if required. You will have the responsibility of reaching your outstanding potential by working closely with a successful Parallel teacher who will act as your mentor. You will have the ability to call upon the experience and wisdom of a long standing and successful leadership team.
