Timeplan Education are urgently seeking a Qualified Teacher for a KS2 pupil referral unit in Nottingham. Our client is a large unit catering for pupils who cannot access mainstream education due to the behaviours in which they present. As their class teacher you will be responsible for promoting positive behaviours, improving attendance as well as encouraging strong levels of engagement as individuals and a part of a small group. The class you would be responsible for are Year 5 students all working towards reintegration into secondary mainstream education.
Within the class you will be supported by no less than 2 teaching assistants who are restraint trained as well as having immediate support from SLT if it is required. Pupils are only on site in the mornings so you will have a PM handover session as well as time for planning and preparation.
