The Role:

The successful KS1 Teaching Assistant will be working closely alongside a class teacher in encouraging pupils to engage in their learning specifically with core subjects. KS1 Teaching Assistants are expected to put into practice their academic skills by working as an aid to teachers in their year group ensuring they are actively supporting KS1 pupils in meeting their attainment levels. KS1 Teaching Assistant applicants will be of graduate calibre as there is ideally an option for them to embark on to the schools teacher training programme once they have gained experience.

Our client school is a two form entry primary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This is an outstanding primary school with a supportive leadership team as well as low staff turnover. Giving that this primary setting is a Teacher Training School, they are able to offer the right KS1 Teaching Assistant a spot on their Teacher Training Programme the following academic year.
