ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Kitchen Steward / Porter, you will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Team with the cleaning of the kitchen and wash up areas. Responsibilities will include operating pot-washing machinery, sweeping and mopping floors and disposing of kitchen waste.
The successful candidate must:
- Be able to work under pressure
- Have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- Have good communication skills
- Observe COSHH and Health and Safety guidelines at all times
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period working on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period.
You will be required to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends between the hours of 7am and 12 midnight.
You will also be required to work public / bank holidays on a rota basis.
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward / Porter is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
