Kitchen Assistant

If you are an experienced Kitchen Assistant who is looking for an opportunity to work in Manchester Airport, we have a fabulous opening within a luxury First Class lounge.  

You will be responsible for assisting our chefs with the preparation of buffets and a la carte meals for first class and business class passengers in accordance to a set menu.  

30 – 40 hrs per week 
Working in a top professional environment with a friendly team
Build good working relationships
Gain new culinary skills
Immediate start  

As a Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for:  

Assisting with food preparation
Serving food
Collecting food items from kitchen and preparing buffet
Preparing hot and cold drinks
Adhering to food hygiene standards
Keeping stores tidy
General light cleaning duties
Sweeping areas to keep tidy  

To be considered for the role of a Kitchen Assistant:  

Ideally, you will have experience within a restaurant, pub, hotel environment or from a catering background.
You will have experience either as a Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant or Kitchen Helper  

The ability to commute by public transport to and from Manchester Airport in order to work shifts 

We would like to hear from individuals that have experience as a kitchen assistant, assistant cook, domestic assistant, kitchen helper, roundsman, kitchen porter, canteen assistant, school dinner lady, school canteen assistant, school catering assistant, waitress, waiter, barrister, food service assistant, stores assistant, gallery host.

Successful applicants must be able to provide a 5 year checkable history for security purposes and will also be subject to a criminal record check.
