A warm and welcoming school in South Tyneside have a regular need for need for Teachers on both a day to day, long term and regular basis.

Teachers are required to cover the absence of permanently employed Teachers who may be absent due to short or long-term sickness, which can be planned or comes with short notice.  Other cover requirements include parental leave, course cover, temp to perm opportunities and additional funding to name but a few.

As well as teaching children in a mainstream environment, it will be advantageous if you have experience and/or a genuine interest and desire to support children who have special educational needs, including HI (Hearing impairment), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties).

This is a good school with outstanding features where pupils’ behaviour is good, and children enjoy coming to school.  Children have good attitudes to learning and thrive and develop as confident learners.  They are well above average in reading, writing and maths.

You will join a strong team of staff where pupils feel safe and secure, standards are continuing to rise, and pupils are fully engaged in learning and activities.
