Key Stage 2 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant with special needs experience to work with a child in a Year 4 class on a one to one basis. This is an immediate start for the right candidate.

The particular child has speech and language difficulties and his learning is very much below the age related expectation. You will be required to support him with his learning, ensure he stays on task and manage challenging behaviour. The child can be unpredictable at times, so you will need to be able to think on your feet.

The school are looking for someone who is calm, has the ability to build rapport quickly, and is very patient.

You must have the following in order to be considered for this role:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • A Degree or Teaching Assistant qualification
  • At least 1 year of experience in a UK based school
