Key Stage 1 Teacher

Key Stage 1 Teacher Required
A Pupil Referral Unit in the Brent area is looking for an experienced and fully qualified teacher within Key Stage 1. The pupils in the class have all been excluded from their schools for various reasons, including behavioural issues, social, emotional and mental health disorders (SEMH) as well as associated learning difficulties. Experience with challenging behaviour would be an advantage. The role is full time, is to start asap and is likely to extend into a long-term role for the right person.

To be successful in your application you must have some experience teaching children at Key Stage 1 level. There will be a requirement to cover some general subjects and skills as well as your subject specialism. You must be a positive and confident person who can deal with some very challenging behaviours. You will need to work closely with support assistants on a daily basis.
