Key Account Manager – East Anglia-based – Excellent package
Our client has an exciting growth strategy and we have been asked to identify a Key Account Manager to join the existing team. The Key Account Manager will have an excellent business and strategic mind and be able to maintain existing business relationships, while developing new ones, in the high end retail market.
The newly appointed Key Account Manager will handle and develop sales to existing customers as well as developing new business opportunities. Customers are primarily Department Stores and larger Store Chains specialising in soft furnishings. You will be responsible for managing key accounts and developing new ones across the UK. This will be achieved in close cooperation with the Country Manager who is also based in East Anglia. The Key Account Manager position is expected to include a limited number of traveling days –15 to 30 days annually anticipated.
The responsibilities are split 50/50 in terms of Key Account management and new business development.
The role is based in East Anglia, and you will reside locally. You will almost certainly have held a similar role selling into High Street Stores. You will be ambitious and thrive on being encouraged to take initiatives and focus consistently on achieving results. Customer Service is a key element to success in this role and you will be used to developing long term business relationships.
This new role comes with exciting possibilities to develop personal and commercial skills in a company with a strong growth strategy. Reporting directly to the Country Manager means you will enjoy a short decision making process which will focus on constant development and optimization.
The position offers a negotiable package dependent on how closely you match the exact requirements. It will include a base salary of £30-35,000 pa, commission and on target earning of around £45,000 with the potential to earn considerably more. You will also receive a company credit card and a laptop to aid you in your work. There will also be the benefit of a company car/car allowance etc.
