Location: Heathrow / London / Middlesex

Salary & Benefits: £55,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Due to an internal promotion a leading provider of supply chain solutions require an experienced senior level Key Account Manager to take responsibility for two major retail clients. The overall purpose of the role is to Develop, Maintain and Measure activity with the selected key accounts. You will be tasked with managing all aspects of the relationship with the account to achieve optimum business retention and development.

Retention

  • Ensures that customers cross functional and geographical operational requirements are pro-actively identified and serviced
  • Establishes quality procedures and process improvement, review to continuously attain service improvements

Development

  • Implements strategies to assist the customers in attainment of their corporate growth and efficiency objectives
  • Implements programme with the customer to improve their logistics capabilities as measured by cost to value ratios, improved cycle times and improved customer service
  • Increases revenues and profitability through providing enhanced value added service
  • Sales development from the ground up of specific identified prospect customers

Tariff Management / Debtor Management

  • Produce tariffs at start of each month or as required
  • Deliver target profit margins and year or year growth objectives

Manage Internal / External Business Relationships

  • Build network relationships at the required levels within the customers organisation
  • Travel, as necessary, to meet company offices, customer offices & customers to establish & maintain systems & procedures
  • Identify areas of customers business that require delegation to implants, operations and accounts and/or escalation to management or account sponsors for resolution or development

Develop Global Business Opportunities

  • Develop and maintain an Account Plan & Strategy to compliment the business objectives of the customer
  • Systematically record, progress and finalise all agreed customer deliverables
  • Maximise opportunities for extending product / service offerings
  • Design and deliver innovative bespoke supply chain solutions to lock in the client
  • Participate in Account Management, Operational and Cross divisional forums to identify new areas for customer development and deployment
  • Engagement with product owners to keep in touch with market conditions in relation to customers business

Manage Process Improvement

  • Create global standard operating procedures, monitor compliance
  • Agree Key Performance Indicators with customer, measure and evaluate
  • Identify trends / problems / potential solutions
  • Agree problem escalation process with customer
  • Produce / review reports & data

Experience Required:
