Junior Supply & Demand Planner

YOUR NEW ROLE….

The role will be based within the Supply Chain Team and it will involve the provision of forecasting and supply planning support for a portfolio of finished goods, maintaining optimal availability and identifying opportunity for improving stocked efficiencies across the portfolio. Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Manager on product performance. This is an ideal opportunity for a Junior Planner with statistical forecasting experience looking for a progressive and challenging career within an active and growing online retail environment.

• Review monthly forecast errors and apply corrective measures to avoid stock out/overstock.
• Ensure an appropriate statistical model and parameters are applied to increase forecast accuracy across the portfolio.
• Manage a portfolio of products and analyse global demand history for each SKU using a statistical demand and supply planning system called Futurmaster.
• Liaise with marketing team to ensure that all stock requirements for the various planned promotions are captured accurately, in accordance with production and delivery lead time.
• Identify opportunities for multi-site stock optimisation.
• Monitor stock and open orders to address any shortfalls with alternative supply.
• Proactively monitor products to identify priorities of critical items to ensure a high level of customer service, whilst actively preventing stock obsolescence.
• Raise Supplier Purchase orders and Intersite Transfers with accurate and efficient data entry.
• Develops and executes purchase plans at least cost to capitalise on margin saving.
• Liaise with marketing team to ensure that all stock requirements for the various planned promotions are captured accurately, in accordance with production and delivery lead time.
• Maintain a 3-month SKU Level rolling forecast for key suppliers based on available stock and account for promotional requirements.

• Work with Logistics Co-ordinator and other planners to prioritise deliveries.
• Support new product launches and initial stock order placement with suppliers.


Person Specification:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly organised and methodical approach
• Highly numerate and experienced using data from multiple resources for analytics
• IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Packages
• Excellent communicator
• A-level/ equivalent in Science, Maths or other numerate discipline
• High degree of understanding of the end to end Supply Chain Planning processes

WHATS ON OFFER....

£20,000- £23,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday 8:30am- 17:00pm
