Junior Structural Technician (Buildings)

IStructE award winning Civil & Structural Consulting Engineers currently undertaking healthcare, education, leisure, heritage/ conservation, retail & commercial developments across the UK seek to strengthen their South West office by the appointment of a Junior Structural Technician to be trained & developed in all aspects of Structural Engineering

Role:

Joining a highly capable team of design engineers, technicians & support staff, you will be involved with a wide variety of Structural Engineering activities including:

  • Taking receipt of incoming technical information from the design engineers
  • Producing high quality drawings & 3D models in AutoCAD & Revit Structure
  • Controlling issue of structural drawings, maintaining drawing issue sheets & record copies
  • General project administration
  • Ensuring compliance to company QA procedures
  • Assisting in site surveys as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Construction related HNC qualification ideally
  • Solid CAD skills (AutoCAD), Revit training is available
  • Good general level of construction/ building knowledge gained either hands-on or via study
  • Enthusiastic, keen to learn & develop your skills
  • High level of attention to details and ability to work to project deadlines
