Junior SQL DBA required by an outsourced service provider in Colcehster. Since starting, the company have seen unrivalled growth over the last few years, which now sees them providing services to companies across the UK including many recognised brands. Due to the continued growth, my client are now looking to add an Junior SQL DBA to accommodate the company’s rapid development. This is a rare opportunity to make use of your experience while also moving your career forward with a progressive company.
The role will see you running reports, writing basic queries and analysing the internal systems and database to ensure they remain robust to deal with the large amounts of traffic coming through their servers. The company have created a unique culture within their Colchester office with an intentional focus on employing the right people not solely skill sets. They invest heavily in training and believe in offering clear career progression and personal growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be a competent SQL User, display an understanding of SQL 2008 – 2014 and ideally knowledge of the SQL Stack (SSRS, SSAS). Although not essential, it will help put your CV to the top of the pile. Candidates are likely to be ambitious members keen to progress their skills and are looking to move forward into a dedicated DBA role. Alternatively it could be you are an experienced Application Support Analyst looking to get into the DBA realm and the prospect of working within a high traffic larger environment appeals to you.
In addition to your SQL/Support experience, you will be a strong communicator happy to liaise with external and internal clients and liaise with the senior management team.
