Junior Sister/Charge Nurse

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sister , with a strong team working and patient first ethic to support our Medical Wards.

You will be working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, offering support to families which is key in ensuring the best possible care is given to the patients on this ward. Could this be you?

This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and demonstration of evidence based clinical practice. You should also be a qualified mentor with recognised mentor qualifications and a proven history of providing supervision to junior staff, be motivated and enthusiastic about your own professional development and open to undertaking further academic qualifications. You must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, motivated, hardworking and be able to use your own initiative whilst also having the ability to work under pressure.

You must possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skill. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working which facilitate developments in nursing practice as well as being self-motivated and committed to improving service delivery with a flexible approach to the needs of the service. We expect you to be dedicated with a positive attitude and ability to provide patients an excellent service.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week. We welcome you to contact us to arrange an informal visit to the ward.

You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: ), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.
