Our client is a UK-based business-to-business publisher of B2B magazines in the legal, finance and reinsurance industries.
Established in 2004 the company has built a portfolio covering finance, insurance, healthcare, life sciences, online brand management and intellectual property delivering vital news and information to their readers across both print and digital platforms as well as events. Through a close relationship between the editorial, sales and production teams the company is able to act on opportunities in the market as they arise.
The Junior Sales Executive will be working within a small team selling subscriptions for their range of finance, insurance and legal publications to their expanding customer base which has enabled them to double their revenue year on year.
As Junior Sales Executive you will be required to make contact with qualified leads from their ongoing promotions programme, while also researching the industries that their titles cover in order to identify potential clients and ultimately convert them into new business.
You will be contacting senior individuals and decision makers over the telephone, most of whom will be familiar with the high quality products you will be selling. Initially you will be expected making 60-80 calls per day which will enable you to quickly establish a strong pipeline of business from which to work.
The Junior Sales Executive will be a quick thinker, a natural rapport builder and a confident opener. You will possess the ability to get a conversation flowing in order to pick up relevant information and then articulate the unique benefits of their products. The ability to manage your workload effectively is essential as you will be expected to keep proposals moving forward and close the business in a timely manner.
Ideally you will have experience in B2B sales or be a high performing sales individual from another sector with excellent communication and organisation skills. Strong business acumen is also important as is a proactive, enthusiastic and positive approach to your work.

The Junior Sales Executive will report directly to the subscription sales manager. You will have the benefit of working closely with the subscription sales manager, who will be on hand to guide you through the market and leads in the beginning, as well as provide on-going support as required. They have a new CRM system to improve lead management and a strong editorial team who support the sales team with ideas to sell around.
