In line with this sustained growth there is a newly created role in the highly successful Transactional Risks team for a Junior Producer, (business development).
Suitable candidates for the role will ideally be from a relevant field for example a Private Equity research background or similar and it would be very useful if you already have a fundamental understanding of the processes involved in mergers and acquisitions but this is not essential. Therefore, candidates from outside this field can also be considered and also those who have graduated recently.
Within the role you will need to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and it is essential that you are able to network effectively with senior- level professionals. You will therefore need to be articulate, confident, able to think on your feet, well-researched where applicable and present yourself and the business in a credible manner. You must also be well organised and methodical.
The role will work closely with an existing Producer in the team and will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of existing contacts and also the generation of new contacts.
The purpose of this role is to target clients with the aim of winning business. It is important therefore to ensure the business is at the forefront of a client's mind. You could expect to attend conferneces on a regular basis and to have at least one external meeting per day, if not more.
Success in the role will be measured on the amount of introductions generated and increased levels of success with the existing portfolio. Management of the latter will involve maintaining regular contact and further developing these relationships.
