Junior Online Content Developer

As a Junior Online Content Developer you will be responsible for the production and maintenance of article content and landing pages for White Stuff’s UK, German and Global websites. Pages should be optimised for speed and experience using best practise coding strategies.

These tasks may on-occasion include producing concepts and demonstrations of web technology for presentation purposes.

What you'll be doing:

• Producing and maintaining article content for all White Stuff websites
• Maintaining landing page content for all White Stuff websites
• Working closely with other departments to a brief
• Working with third-party applications
• On occasion producing concept demos for presentation to senior staff
• Providing recommendations on user experience of the websites to the wider team
• Highlighting areas of improvement on design and development of the websites
• Ensuring that the websites are optimal in terms of design and page load

What you'll need:

• A sound knowledge of working to a brief and be able to quickly and efficiently turn a Photoshop design into a fully functioning web page.
• At least one year’s commercial experience
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver or similar)
• Knowledge of JavaScript & jQuery an advantage
• Proficient with Responsive Web Design ideology and frameworks
• Proficient with XHTML & CSS2
• Strong knowledge of W3C Standards
• Strong knowledge of working with multiple Internet browsers
• Experience of working with a Content Management System (CMS)
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work to a deadline
• Ability to work well within a team and with other departments
• Ability to work with third-parties an advantage
• Knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3 an advantage
• Knowledge of project management systems such as Trello or Asana
• Experience of working with other written languages (such as encoding) an advantage
