Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer for a specialist manufacturing company based in Morpeth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JUNIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:

  • Aim for Excellence
  • Promote the Company culture
  • Manufacturing Engineering to achieve business plan targets with particular consideration to quality, cost, delivery, development, service, safety and morale
  • Continuous improvement of all Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing functions
  • APQP, Lean manufacturing and commitment to Hoshin Kanri and Genba Kanri
  • Design and develop new manufacturing systems, processes, jigs and fixturing, considering the product requirements, customer needs and expectations
  • Ensure knowledge and compliance of products and services to the latest industry directives and regulations.
  • Continuous improvement of existing manufacturing sytems and products
  • Create and improvement of documentation and procedures
  • Optimisation of manufacturing process release for NPI and new processes
  • Work with purchasing and suppliers to attain optimum value and manufacturability
  • Assist Quality Assurance using FMEA, Control Plans and assist in product validation and CoP testing
  • Provide technical support on customer visits and events
  • Assist in the manufacture of timely prototypes
  • Administer new project development using the Company's Stage Gate and Change Management Processes
  • Customer focused. service and concern support
  • Ensure Health and safety/enviromental is in-line with company policies and legislative requirements
  • Establishment and Control of all Standard Minute Values

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Candidates should be educated in a relevant engineering discipline to atleast HNC/HND/Degree level and have some 1-4 years experience as a Graduate / Junior Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering profession, alternatively candidates should be time-served through a 4 year engineering apprenticeship
