Junior Legal Cashier

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Junior Legal Cashier to join a leading law firm in Leeds City Centre on a permanent basis.

This is a superb opportunity for somebody who is looking to develop their career in the legal finance sector.

This role will be concentrating on managing the cheques received and produced by the firm and assisting the Finance Department in general.

Your main duties will be: -

*Recording all incoming cheques and posting them on ledgers
*Managing and monitoring the issuing the cheques
*Processing and cancelling any returned cheques
*Cancelling and re-issuing cheques as and when required
*Checking cheques have been issued against and attached to the correct documentation
*Printing and distributing all cheques produced
*Banking duties
*Admin tasks as and when required

To be successful in this role you should: -

*Have some accountancy/finance experience
*Be wanting to kick start your finance career in the legal environment
*Have the ability to communicate at all levels
*Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the business
*Have some basic Excel skills
