- You’ve got great people skills and are super-organised
- You enjoy administration but want to do more.
Then this could be for you.
Channel Assist is an award-winning retail marketing agency. Put simply, we help our clients sell more of what they make.
And we have great clients - think the likes of Panasonic, SONOS, Bosch and McAfee.
So how do we do it?
One way is to have retail sales professionals working in-store promoting, demonstrating and selling their products. Pop into your local John Lewis or Currys and there is a good chance you will see one of our guys or girls working there doing just that.
We recruit 200+ people a year, some permanent and some temporary (we call that tactical). That’s a lot of recruitment. Which is where you come in.
So how does this job fit in?
Initially you will be the 'glue’ between recruitment and operations. The administrative workload is significant - posting adverts, managing the database, sending contracts, arranging travel, organising kit, and maintaining the HR system.
You will also develop as a recruiter - interviewing, assessing, making decisions. Ultimately you will manage your own recruitment projects and be client-facing with some key people at our clients. We’ll teach you all this stuff.
If you are a commission-hungry sales person this isn’t the job for you.
If you believe as we do that 'empathy’ and 'respect’ are key elements of recruitment, then maybe it is.
OK, so what’s in it for you?
We’ll pay you well and you can expect pretty rapid increases as you develop. That’s not why you will want to join us though.
You’ll want to join a small team where you are truly valued and are part of the bigger picture.
You’ll want the opportunity to develop your career in recruitment, a truly frustrating, painful, difficult and massively rewarding sector.
You’ll like the casual feel of the office and the ultra-professional approach we have externally.
You’ll love the fast pace and variety (and quickly shake-off the frustration when things change at the last minute).
The truth of the matter is very few people will get this far down the advert. Maybe it’s too long - what do you think? Tell me in a great cover letter and mention the name of our Managing Director in it (not hard to find) and I guarantee you an interview.
