Junior ICT and Dev Ops Engineer needed to work for one of the UK's leading job boards.

Our client is evolving and extending their current services to drive growth and for this reason they are looking to add a Junior ICT Engineer to their team. The company is implementing highly advanced technologies to deliver cutting edge services to clients and job seekers, while also launching into new geographical areas. The projects and technologies they are working on combine development of cutting-edge AI & Big Data algorithms, delivery via micro-services hosted in the cloud, advanced UX and UI design for mobile and precision audience identification for advertising and marketing.

The Junior Engineer will help to take the companies ICT and dev ops engineering forward, building out our clients capability to deploy and deliver high levels of personalisation, targeting and immediacy for our job seeker and recruiters.

As a Junior Dev Ops & ICT Engineer, your focus will initially fall on keeping the current services operating at peak performance and handling day-to-day ICT service requests, tuning our cloud environments and testing and then deploying new code.

The companies core platform is LAMP, engineered in Symfony, hosted on 2 dedicated servers with failover in a Manchester data centre. The companies Cloud-Hosted (AWS), Micro-services are written in PHP and expose RESTful API’s that return JSON to the front-end Javascript AJAX services (or to the core platform). In addition the business is working with Java8 and Swift, BitBucket.
