Capita's Real Estate & Infrastructure division has a new job for a Junior Health & Safety Consultant to be a part of a busy and dynamic team based in London. You will support the consultants, attend meetings, visit sites, create reports, organise data and work with designers and consultants to complete projects.

About the Job

You will provide professional support by assisting with the day to day running and provision of the Health & Safety (H&S) services in the South.

Your duties will include health & Safety inspections, report writing as well as training and assisting the team with consultant responsibilities. You will be supported by your team throughout this process and we will encourage your own professional development as you grow with us.

As part of your role you will take on new H&S Clients as directed by the H&S Team Leader. You will also be involved in annual face to face client review and 6 monthly update with H&S Consultant Team Leader. As port of your H&S duties you will also maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD), provide input at consultancy team meetings and carry out other H&S work as directed by the H&S Consultant team Leader.

The idea is that you will become a multi-talented consultant able to provide a complete service for our clients. You will start by taking on certain tasks related to projects and work your way up to having ownership of your own projects.

We also have a natural culture of supporting each other as we travel around the country meeting clients and expanding our knowledge. As you develop with us you will work closely with a senior consultant who will mentor you and guide you along your path towards owning your own projects.

The Ideal candidate

We are looking for someone with the right attitude and interest above all else. You must demonstrate this with your application, through your personal development and recent experiences.

We need you to have completed formal training in the form of a NEBOSH and it is important that you have broadened your mind with construction experience by being involved in the industry. This means working with a consultancy or contractor and being involved in the Health & Safety in some way.

Requirements - (Must have)

  • You will have a Construction related NEBOSH Certificate
  • You will have experience with a construction contractor or client sided consultancy
  • You will have professional or academic qualifications related to construction or Health & Safety
