Our client is one of the UK's leading digital media agencies, specialising in the creation, hosting and syndication of product data and rich media content for globally recognised brands. Their aim is to help clients sell more online.

The Role:

We are looking for a Junior Front-End Developer with 18 months plus commercial experience to join their fast-growing software development team and help to deliver world-class products and services for our customers.

The company is based in Colchester and attends the office on a hybrid basis, 3 days a week.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency using modern front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular/Svelte/Astro.
  • Experience with CSS pre-processors like SASS/SCSS.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Web development knowledge required to create mobile-first, well supported and responsive websites and web experiences.

Candidates should:

  • Be comfortable working in an agile way: from stories and Scrums to TDD/CI/CD (DevOps).
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be able to recognise, develop and follow design patterns.
  • Have experience building to a brief from design tools like AdobeXD/Sketch/Figma.
  • Be able to work directly with Clients to design and build beautiful modern web experiences.

Beneficial knowledge:

  • WebXR/WebGL experience, either directly or via JavaScript libraries like Threejs/Babylonjs.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Azure products and services (Google Cloud and AWS experience also welcome).
  • Experience with popular e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce etc).
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products.

Salary:

  • Up to £35,000 dependent on experience.
