Role Info:

Junior Finance Assistant - Innovative Technology Company
West London / Remote working 3 days per week after passing probation
up to £24,000

Junior Finance Assistant Role:

You will be assisting in daily operation of Finance & Admin tasks of the UK Business and providing daily support to the Finance Team. This includes:

+ Processing purchase invoices
+ Raising external sales invoices
+ Conducting payment runs
+ Liaising with suppliers
+ Chasing debtors

Key Duties:

+ Sales Invoicing: Processing sales invoices and assisting in Bulk License billing preparation.
+ Purchase ledger: Processing purchase invoices and preparing the monthly payment run and sending external remittances.
+ Month End Reporting: Assisting in month end reporting and other financial/relevant information that may be required within internal deadlines.
+ Credit Control: Assisting in the credit control process, resolving issues, forwarding credit/refund requests to CFO/Management Accountant for processing and engaging with the external legal advisors where appropriate.
+ Projects: Participating in ad hoc projects where required providing sound financial analysis, assisting with accounting and control processes, enabling informed decision making and providing quality information and critical support to the Finance Team.
+ Petty Cash: Management and reconciliation of petty cash
+ Year End: Assisting with the Audit Year End process.
+ VAT: Assisting in preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
+ Admin: Answering and directing company calls, helping with customer queries and providing customer service specific to accounts queries and maintaining the internal holiday and sickness records.
+ Improvements: Work together with the management accountant, continually looking to identify areas for improvement, evaluate and make recommendations, implementing best practice processes and procedures with the intention to refine all current transactional 'heavy’ processes.

About You:

+ Able to multitask in terms of handling more than one task simultaneously
+ Excellent communication skills and be confident, articulate and able to communicate at all levels externally and internally
+ A team player with the ability to prioritize work and work to tight deadlines;+ Desire to learn and improve current processes
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Adaptable to change
+ An ability to analyze and interpret data
+ An ability to self-review your work, prior to submitting it to CFO/Management Accountant
+ Proficient in using the Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
+ Experience with Xero would be advantageous
