The Role - Junior Finance Analyst

The Junior Financial Analyst will support the Finance Analyst, and will provide financial/performance reporting and analysis across the whole business, including both financial and non-financial KPIs. The role will have high visibility across all areas of the company but the majority of analysis will be in relation to Your Golf Travel and SpaBreaks.com. The role will involve establishing an excellent working relationship with senior managers.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to the Finance Analyst on operational and financial matters

  • Detailed financial analysis and interrogation of historical data

  • Working closely with senior management to maximise sales and gross margin contribution opportunities

  • Provide detailed financial & operational reports across the business

  • Providing insightful analysis on business performance and commercial opportunities for growth

  • Daily, weekly & monthly performance reports

  • Evaluate current reporting/processes and enhance to create timely, accurate and relevant performance reports that are deemed as best practice

  • Assisting in developing accounting systems, improving financial information processes, and leveraging efficiencies from technology

  • Prepare robust trading budgets and forecasts

  • Produce high quality & detailed variance analysis reports

  • Manage the demands of key stakeholders within the business and develop strong relationships

The group is looking for a Junior Finance Analyst to strengthen the Finance Team in partnering with all areas of the business to maximise all growth opportunities.

The Management Team is focussed on the continued expansion of the group and positioning the Group as the leading niche travel operator. It is imperative the Junior Finance Analyst is comfortable working in a very fast paced environment, and delivering accurate and effective information to tight deadlines.

Candidate Background Candidates should have / be

  • A part qualified professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

  • Experienced in the use of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (desirable)

  • Advanced Excel user (essential)

  • Ability to understand the interrelationships between key drivers and data across systems

  • Ability to extract and analyse multiple sources and large volumes of data

  • Commercial finance experience in a high transaction volume business (travel/retail industry preferred)
