About The Role

As a junior developer you are an integral part of our team. It is a really varied role, where you will get to test and develop your skills, working with some top brands.

  • Serve as Papirfly Operations Team first point of contact.
  • Build and test templates from within the framework and released to the UK operational team
  • Support the business to understand the effort required to deliver said specifications.
  • Act as 2nd line support for all template troubleshooting and resolve or escalate where applicable.
  • Ensuring that the latest versions are completely understood and ensure best practice is adhered to for operational delivery.
  • To be core to the UK business in supporting the business through any future product technological transitions as and when required, as part of the larger Papirfly development team.
  • Ensure all delivery is effectively tracked, monitored in time and within expected budget.
  • Expected to work with 3rd parties, where necessary such as other software integration or Head Office teams for new product releases.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in either ActionScript 3 or JavaScript. The development tool is Flex/Flash builder.
  • Experience with HTML5 and CSS.
  • Experience with Web Services is an advantage, as is any experience of integrating Flash with databases or using Flash related technologies.
  • Basic graphic and image editing with Photoshop/lllustrator, preferable
  • Understanding of fonts (PostScript, .otf, .ttf), preferable
  • Understanding of colours (RGB/CMYK/PANTONE), preferable
  • Experience with Subversion (source control) a bonus, but not essential.
  • Relevant computing education and/or work experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and remotely delivering to time and budget.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills (able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people).
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
