Our client is a British toy company. Their toy story started in 2015 when their founders had a vision to create a new fresh toy company which would inspire hundreds of ways to play, every day.

How you expect the candidate to spend their day:

We have a fabulous opportunity for an intern creative designer to join this highly inspiring British Toy brand.  This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in the Toy and Entertainment sector.  The ideal candidate will be someone who is curious, creative, has a positive attitude, a tireless work ethic and a passion for growth. 

The facts:

You will be proactive, hard-working, organised and level headed.  To be part of this small and busy creative team, you will have lots of opportunity to enhance the design, bringing creative concepts to life and produce high quality production ready artwork for print and online. Maintaining the highest standards.


On a day to day, you will be required to effectively manage various projects, across a range of platforms, including packaging, product, store graphics, marketing collateral and digital online designs etc. They  will provide you with experience in packaging and print knowledge. In no time at all you will have no problem setting up artwork for print (i.e. Litho, digital).

Through this internship you will be able to turn a project around swiftly with no loss of quality, and be able to demonstrate excellent multi-tasking and spot on time management skills.  

The ideal candidate will need to act as brand guardian and apply amends to artworks and designs, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained.

You will naturally need to be self-motivated and we expect you to effectively manage your own daily workload within agreed timescales – communicating effectively with internal team members.

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign packages) is vital.

Experience in web design and wordpress would be a bonus.

Ability to sketch out ideas.

Retouching and visualisation skills will be required

Basic technical knowledge when setting up packaging artwork

Basic understanding repro and print processes

Exceptional organisation and communication skills - you must be confident and happy to present your ideas to all levels of the business

A strong interest in Toy and Entertainment sector

*A full UK driving licence would be ideal.
