Credit Control Job - £21,000-£22,000 + Bonus + Benefits - Reading

My client is based near Reading Town Centre, offering a fun working environment, excellent transport and parking. They are currently seeking a Junior Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will oversee a section of the UK Sales Ledger and be responsible for Credit Collections, reporting and query resolution within a varied portfolio of debtors.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with experience in a Team based Finance environment.

My client is offering an incentivised bonus of circa £3000 (OTE) per annum in addition to the base salary and additional benefits.

You will be required to build long-standing relationships both internally and externally and solve any queries relating to invoices and disputes by partnering with stakeholders within the business.

Duties include:

  • Credit Control

  • Obtaining payment from Clients using effective collection techniques via telephone/email

  • Query resolution

  • Report and review overdue or doubtful debtors with Team Leader

  • Customer account maintenance

  • Must be well organised and flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines

  • Some customer visits as required

  • Liaising with internal teams

The Candidate:

  • Experience in Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Administration or Customer Service

  • Confident, versatile telephone manner

  • Outgoing, engaging personality

  • Pro-active approach to collections and developing rapport with customers

  • Team Player

  • Excel skills
