Based in Magherafelt - Covering Multiple Locations Throughout N.I. and R.O.I.

Permanent

Salary - up to £25K per annum commensurate with experience

Full Time Hours (37.5 hours)

Job Purpose:
Analysis of the various organisation's efficiency by studying its needs, its business model, its workflows, and its technological systems. Making recommendations to the Head of IT in technical development projects that will improve business efficiency. This role would be suitable for a graduate with experience.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
-Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.

-Creating, analysing, and validating detailed functional specifications.

-Facilitating design sessions with project teams to define the solution.

-Researching possible software solutions to increase work efficiency.

-Interpreting data about company policies and workflows.

-Supporting project teams during the analysis and planning stages of software development.

-Working on other project phases like implementation and testing.

-Facilitating a successful release handover.

-Estimating costs and time requirements of projects.

-Evaluating risks and predicting potential problems.

-Developing quality assurance practices and assessments.

-Establishing deliverables.

-Writing reports, instructions, and specifications and creating flowcharts.

-Understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders.

-Acting as a liaison between the business and its Information Technology (IT) department.

-Acting as a liaison between the business and its clients.

-Using spreadsheets to record data on a project.

-Evaluating Key Performance Indicators.

-Facilitating meetings and workshops for team members.

-Acquiring knowledge of products or services provided by the business.

-Making sure projects stay within budget and target spending requirements.

-Incorporating user suggestions into projects.

Criteria:
Essential:

Qualifications:
-Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. Computer Science, Business or Finance related disciplines. Plus

-5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above to include English and Math’s.

Experience:
-Demonstrable experience (1-2 years) of having worked on IT projects fulfilling the business analyst role.

-Demonstrable track record of having successfully met and exceeded targets.

-Experience of building and maintaining effective business relationships with internal and external customers.

-Demonstrable experience of making a substantial difference to the success of a company and the satisfaction of its employees.

-Experience of working to deadlines and juggling multiple projects.

Job Related Knowledge:
-Strong knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

Skills and Competencies:
-Excellent written communication skills.

-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties.

-Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.

-Excellent presentation skills.

-The ability to motivate others and lead change.

-The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes.

-Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach.

-A good understanding of information technology.

Other:
-Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes or ability to demonstrate alternative method of being able to fulfil any travel related duties of the role.

Desirable:
Experience:
-Experience of managing small projects and delivering against time, cost and quality.

Job Related Knowledge:
-Experience of the extended Microsoft Office suite including MS Project, Access and Visio.
