Due to changes within NHS Grampian’s Medical Directorate an exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding senior doctor to progress medical leadership within the Acute Sector.
A credible and competent leader, you will be passionate about working to continually improve patient experience and patient care, and to actively lead and participate in the delivery of effective and sustained performance against key metrics in a fast, dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
You will have the ability to meaningfully and regularly engage with medical and other colleagues throughout and beyond the Sector to gain commitment and support for the achievement of improving the health and wellbeing of the local population.
Candidates must have previous experience in a medical leadership role with excellent communication and leadership skills, including knowledge of clinical and corporate governance, quality systems, as well as improvement methodologies.
Working as part of the senior triumvirate team alongside the Director of Acute Services and the Associate Director of Nursing, you will contribute to the strategic vision and direction of the Acute Sector, progressing change, service redesign, development and continuous improvement.
You must possess the ability to collaborate and negotiate with all staff within the Sector and NHSG; and as you will, on occasion, also be expected to represent Grampian at local, regional and national levels.
