Java Developers (Opportunity to grow into Hybris or Websphere Commerce) - LARGE ECOMMERCE BRAND!!

Multiple Java Developers at all levels required to deliver client projects for a huge ecommerce consultancy based in Watford. You will be working to deliver client projects including developing customized code for Websphere Commerce. This is a key role working for a digital agency responsible for the delivery and support of a large number of high profile eCommerce applications which require someone of excellent technical ability looking to make their mark in a diverse and expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity where this organisation will be happy for you developing within Java, but if you have aspirations to work in Websphere Commerce or Hybris they will provide opportunities to grow within these domains! They have multiple opportunities available for Junior, Mid, Senior and Lead Developers.

Key Skills Required:

  • Full project lifecycle experience in delivering complex, high volume applications preferably Internet based

  • Solid core Java programming skills

  • Experience of eCommerce technologies (ie WebSphere Commerce, Hybris, Magento)

  • Experience with J2EE development and concepts: EJBs, Servlets, JSPs (JSTL) and Struts.

  • Experience with Rest services

  • Experience of Web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, XHTML

  • Working knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server preferred but other platforms accepted


  • Previous experience of Java based e-commerce solutions highly desired, e.g. Blue Martini, ATG, Demandware, ElasticPath etc.

  • Working knowledge of Apache web server, Apache rewrites etc

  • Web services SOAP and REST. With good understanding of JSON/XML/XSLT/XSD

  • CMS Integration to Ecommerce platforms. Any Jackrabbit based CMS, CQ5, AEM etc
