Salary: £35k - £50k basic + full benefits

Location: East Midlands (working from home with some travel to client sites)

Are you looking for a fresh challenge where you will be working on the development & deployment of Java based web applications? Are you keen to work on projects for household name clients? Do you want to work from home with some travel to client sites? If so this role could well be for you.

Working across a product range of 6 or 7 enterprise level Java applications you will design, develop & deploy their solutions to new clients & their existing customer base. You will also provide high level application support when needed. Clients will mostly be based domestically but occasionally this role will require international travel. When you’re not on a client site you can relax and work in the comfort of your own home.

Background & Tech

You are able to sit down with customers to define their requirements & then write well designed, very testable & highly efficient code!! Ideally you have a good Front-End skill set with experience using JavaScript & preferably Angular.JS. You are at home in an Agile environment and have proven experience with hands-on development, troubleshooting & continuous integration.

What you will need to bring to the table

- Proven development experience using Java J2EE – ideally some Java 8.
- Some Javascript (ideally with Angular.JS or similar frameworks), HTML5 & RESTful web services.
- Ideally some knowledge of Jenkins (or similar like Bamboo & Travis), Camel (or similar messaging e.g. Kafka) & SQL/NoSQL.
- Experience defining requirements with internal stakeholders or external clients.
- Comfortable and at home in an Agile environment.

Any exposure to web based Java products like Alfresco CMS, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Backbase, OpenText ECM, Liferay, HP Teamsite, Oracle WebCentre Sites etc would be a huge advantage.
