Java Developer / Software Developer (Java Scala .Net Core Go Python). Award winning energy provider that is revolutionising consumer energy markets, delivering savings and greener energy for approaching one million households across the UK is seeking a skilled Java Developer.

As a Java Developer you will use a range of technologies; working on a Greenfield project you will design and develop for a new IoT platform on the national grid which allows energy users to determine where energy has come from (renewable sources / coal / gas). There are many technical challenges to overcome; the systems incorporate elements of AI and Machine Learning and they're looking to incorporate block chain technology in the near future.

The company is a technical innovator, supports a coding charity, sponsors regular tech conferences and is starting an open source initiative. As a Java Developer you'll be joining a highly talented Agile development team that encourages knowledge sharing and close collaboration using XP, Pair Programming and TDD; you'll have the freedom, autonomy and responsibility to suggest technical changes and make sure they happen.

Requirements:
*Strong core Java development experience
*Python scripting / coding
*Experience of building high performance systems
*Experience with high volume / transactional web based systems
*Good knowledge of computing fundamentals such as Data Structures, algorithms, OOP, SOA
*Desirable: Java 8, Scala, .Net Core
