Itinerant Teacher of Music

16.8 hours per week (0.48 FTE)
Temporary to 5 July 2019

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who is committed to improvement and excellence. You will mainly teach in the primary (5-12) age group but the post could include Broad General Education and National 5 classes. You will be joining a team of staff who are dedicated to providing the best for all young people. As part of this post it may be necessary to travel to the outer isles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing a high standard of effective teaching and learning in Music in line with the requirements of Curriculum for Excellence.
• Developing and maintaining a safe and happy learning environment.
• Taking an active part in a positive learning community.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

Salary is based on the SNCT Salary Tables plus a Distant Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.

You must be registered, or in the process of registering, with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
