A world leading integrated security company with over 25,000 UK employees are looking for an IT Systems Analyst. You who will provide support and maintenance for the internal production and development systems and infrastructure as well as providing application support to customers using the in-house developed Electronic Monitoring Application focusing on security aspects and assisting with ISO 27001 and security related queries and documentation, operating under ITIL best practices.

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Provide support, development and administration for server-based Systems, support and administration for security systems and, networking systems including
  • Basic understanding of Relational Database Management Systems
  • As a member of the team, work closely with all parts of the business owning support tickets to resolution as well as helping develop the skills within the IT Helpdesk Team
  • Create and update system documentation and knowledge bases
  • Ensure all IT systems function within the parameters of the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Maintain and monitor server infrastructure and test environments
  • Install and test new products and enhancements to existing products in both test and live environments
  • Diagnosis and resolution of all system faults and failures in accordance with published SLA’s and in a customer focused manner
  • Escalation of appropriate faults, failures and modification requests to the relevant parties, ensuring timely and appropriate responses in accordance with any existing service contracts
  • Engage as part of rollout team for projects
  • Perform security monitoring, security and data/logs analysis
  • Investigates and utilizes new technologies and processes to enhance security capabilities
  • Deals with security incidents and mounts incident response
  • Maintain up-to-date technical skills to perform the role in a dynamic business environment

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

  • Good documentation and report writing skills
  • Windows Server 2012/16
  • SQL Server / Relational Database Management
  • Active Directory / GPO
  • Being comfortable working on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a project-based environment
  • Relevant experience as a systems administrator in a systems operation’s role
  • Ability to work with virtualization technology
  • Experience in monitoring and auditing systems
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and Firewalls)
  • Capability to migrate on-premises workload to cloud service providers
