Job title: IT Support Administrator

Location: Head Office

Team: IT Dept

Reports to: Head of IT

Main Purpose of Role:

This is a specialist role required to maintain hardware, software and operating systems throughout the Company Chain. It includes the main head office servers, help desk support to the stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1st line support to all stores.
  • Assisting in support of software, hardware and networks at Head Office including troubleshooting and liaising with external companies as necessary.
  • Installation and maintenance of all hardware such as computers, laptops and printers.
  • Carrying out routine server maintenance including backups/restores, windows and anti-virus update
  • Employee creation on computers, telephone system and laptops
  • Scheduling of till and line installation for new stores.
  • Liaise with IT suppliers for new equipment/consumables orders or repair of faulty equipment

Strong analytical approach to work, attention to detail and deliver a quality checked service on time.

Be able to work under pressure and prioritize according to business needs and deadlines.

Excellent verbal communication skills and be able to work alone and as part of the team.

Requirements:

Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, Office 2013), A good understanding of virtualization technologies and LAN and WAN infrastructures.

Excellent knowledge of supporting desktop hardware, PCs and printers

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Retail IT knowledge and experience
  • IT administration experience in a similar role
  • Retail IT knowledge and experience
  • Experience with EPOS systems
  • MCSE qualified for Windows PC
  • Experience in hardware and software maintenance
  • Management of third party suppliers
  • Capability of prioritizing and dealing with workload under pressure
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve issues simply and efficiently
  • Maintain positive and supporting relationship with all departments
  • Proactive in approach
  • Web technologies / intranet experience / etc
  • Thorough, results focused, completer / finisher.
  • Independent and team worker -responsible for the infrastructure of the company through working

as part of a small and dynamic team.
