Equity Housing has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport.You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and you will receive a salary of£25,000.

As our IT Support Technician you will support the Group’s information technology and communication systems and networks in order to maximise their effectiveness for the benefit of the business providing a professional service at all times.

Working Hours: 35 per week (Monday – Friday)

Key responsibilities as our IT Support Technician:

- Provide excellent customer service to Colleagues, ensuring that expectations are managed and that communication (whether face to face, email or Service Desk) is professional, considerate and consistently of a high standard

- Assist the IT Services Team in planning new services and essential maintenance work to ensure the effective operation of all IT services.

- Provide a range of support services for operational systems and colleagues using those systems

- Maintain prescribed daily backup routines ensuring successful completion by documenting and resolving or escalating backup failures

- Undertake daily checks on essential systems and services, and maintain daily logs on all services

- Through the Service Desk system log error messages and breakdowns and, where appropriate, to liaise with third parties to resolve them

- Maintain the effective operation of database systems and to devise and provide reports using database querying tools

- Install, maintain and upgrade IT software and hardware, ensuring it is free from viruses and illegal software

Skills and Experience required of our IT Support Technician:

Essential:

- Troubleshooting

- Windows 10/Office 2013/2016

- Windows Server Platforms

- Microsoft Exchange 2013

- LAN/WAN, VLAN’s

- Desire to learn new technologies

- Passion for IT technologies

- Desire to learn new technologies

- Team Player

Desirable:

- Cisco Switches/Firewalls

- Microsoft SCCM

- JIRA Helpdesk Knowledge
