IT Support Technician

Our client is after an IT Support Technician to be responsible for the smooth running of the IT functions of the company; To monitor and maintain the computer systems, telephone systems, and IT Network.

Job Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Internal Support desk: Networking, Windows PCs & Laptops (windows 7 and 10 experience), printers, mitel telephone systems, Apple (iPhones and iPads), servers (Windows 2012, 2016 & Linux Experience), VMWare, connectivity, security (AV, AM, VPNs, Firewalls, Permissinos, maintain passwords etc.)
  • Maintain contracts, IT Budgets and Subscriptions
  • Manage Backups and DR Solution - Datto/Mimecast/online
  • Application Support and upgrades
  • Server patching - windows 2012 and 2016 experience
  • Active directory and user maintenance
  • Configuring and Rolling out new PCs and laptops
  • Maintain hardware & software register
  • Satellite Office set-ups & support
  • Project work with 3rd party IT Consultants
  • Procedurement
  • Manage and develop internal IT processes

Experience Required:

  • IT windows professional with at least two years' experience in a support environment

Knowledge of the following is essential:

  • Windows server 2012 and 2016, including active directory
  • SQL Server, VMWare and Office 365
  • Windows 7 and 10 and Apple Devices
  • Networking, including VPNs, Firewall, routers
  • Security
  • Compliance - GDPR and Cyber essentials exposure
  • Telephone systems
  • Printers and Peripheral Devices
  • DR and Backup Systems
