We're looking for an IT Support Technician with a minimum of 1 years experience to provide first and second line support for this multi-national company based in Rotherham. The IT Support Technician will report directly to the ICT Manager and work as part of a progressive team who collectively support circa 7000 employees globally.

IT Support Technician main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for 3 sites in the UK and our site in France, travel will be expected 50% of the time
  • Provide first and second line support, ensuring all IT equipment and infrastructure is running to its optimum performance. You will also participate in site-wide projects that support the ever-changing business and IT requirements
  • Installation, maintenance and support of IT equipment including (but not restricted to) laptops, telecoms equipment, printers, scanners and workstations
  • Maximising availability of all IT equipment and infrastructure through continuous improvement and proactive, preventative maintenance, continuously look to improve equipment efficiencies and cost reduction accordingly
  • Delivering outstanding level of service to your Customer base
  • Conducting end user equipment trials and testing
  • Regularly update inventory checks/audits in line with global standards
  • Providing assistance to other ICT members as required which may include out of hours work and travel
  • Provide a methodical approach to problem solving and daily management of applications
  • Troubleshooting responsibilities that would require you to fix and manage reported incidents
  • Monitoring overall system health

IT Support Technician Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years experience working within a Service Desk, Helpdesk Desktop support function
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows System Support
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal. Able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with the use of MDM - Android and iPhone devices
  • A strong sense of customer service and demonstrable history of excellent customer-facing skills
  • Ability to remain self-motivated, able to work alone as well as part of a team
  • Account creation
  • Backup / Disaster recovery
  • Be available for regular business travel
  • Ability to demonstrate experience within various 3rd party software
