My client is currently looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to be based at their prestigious Head Office based in Preston. Candidates must have a good understanding of Server & PC operating systems and be capable of fault finding IT problems from first principles.

Working alongside management and hosting providers the Support Technician role will allow you to be the face of the department, providing 1st & 2nd Line Support for desktop and Mobile users. Having a 'can-do' attitude and excellent customer service skills, you will provide technology support for the business.

Your daily duties are focused upon user support of client devices.

  • Server 2008, 2012 SBS2011
  • Virtualization
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Windows 7, 8.1, 10
  • Microsoft Office
  • Endpoint Security/Malware protection
  • iOS & Android (configuration, Setup, troubleshoot)
  • VOIP
  • Active Directory
  • Group policies
  • Domain management
  • General network skills
  • Update and create documentation

Candidates must have experience within a similar role, possess good networking knowledge, have the ability to work independently and must hold a full UK driving licence and have own transport as occasional travel to sites will be required and expensed back on a per mile basis.
