My client, an extremely well-established business with a loyal client base, has been successfully operating since 1974. They are now looking for an IT Support Analyst to join their team on a permanent base, to support internal staff as well as some external clients.

The IT Support Technician Role:

The role involves working supporting internal and external customers with a wide range of technical support issues, providing a high level of customer service at all times. The IT Support Duties:

  • To provide an exceptionally high standard of technical support and assistance at all times to staff across a number of offices in the UK.
  • To set-up desktops and laptops, and provide on-going support and troubleshooting.
  • To maintain servers, and install and upgrade software as required.
  • To maintain the internal network, and work with an external IT provider to resolve all issues.
  • To manage all incidents and customer requests from receipt to resolution and closure.
  • To ensure service level agreement standards are met.

Technical Knowledge Required for the IT Technician:

  • Server administration
  • Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
  • Email Hosting (Microsoft Exchange)
  • Anti-Virus, backup solutions
  • Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Laptop, desktop installation, configuration and maintenance
  • Software installation, configuration and maintenance
