An IT Support Engineer is required by our client in the Healthcare sector for an internal service desk role at 2nd line. A salary of up to £26,000 basic is available for this role.

As 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for desktop infrastructure support for hardware and software, networking incidents and server management as well as telephony.

The IT Support Engineer will be experienced in resolving all end-user desktop, server & networking incidents and must have strong experience in server management, infrastructure monitoring and storage technology.  Strong hands on experience of Microsoft Operating Systems and Virtualisation technologies is essential (Hyper-V).

You must have a high level of IT knowledge with the ability to deploy and configure Microsoft technologies including: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WDS, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS, Hyper-V.

Applicants will have an opportunity to train in ISO27001 management frameworks and processes. You must hold a Full UK Driving License as there is occasional travel offsite.

Required skills:

- Strong 2nd line support in a Microsoft environment

- Strong communications skills and user support experience

- A good mix of network and server experience

- Virtual Server knowledge with Hyper-V

Salary:

Basic salary from £24k to £26k plus training and benefits.
