Our client a fantastic organisation with an excellent reputation working within the Insurance industry are currently seeking an IT Support Assistant to join their team.
To support and monitor the servers, networks and desk top PC's.
Provide 1st level support to system users
Prepare new PC's for internal use to a predetermined specification
Responsible for the Installation & troubleshooting of:
MS Office 2010 - 2016
MS Windows 7 - 10
MS Windows server 2008 - 2016
Some Linux exposure desirable but not essential * Monitoring and troubleshooting Windows 2008/2012 servers
Basic network understanding
Set up and troubleshoot VPNs
Active Directory/Exchange users set up
New equipment set up such as laptops, projectors, mobile phones and other
System backups and restores
Perform moves, and changes to office setup/furniture and IT equipment
Monitoring internal support task list, and respond to jobs
Setup and troubleshoot printers.
First class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner
Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
Analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritise and manage tasks
Ability to maintain records, logs and other company's documentation
Must have an interest in both the technical and development aspects of the IT industry
